Water LA is organizing a workshop predominantly focused on youth groups who want to make an impact on changing LA's infrastructure to become more adaptive to our current climate crisis. On November 17th, the Water LA team is focusing on two nature-based solutions, rain grading and parkway basins, to help retrofit homes in Altadena. Join us on September 22 at 10am for an introductory workshop at the Los Nietos Library.

In this hands-on workshop, we will complete the first three steps of a parkway retrofit: planning, turf removal, and grading. 

We will provide gloves and tools, but please bring plenty of water and sunscreen. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes and clothes you don't mind getting dirty.
